ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT

The center offers special education assessment and treatment for children with developmental disabilities and special needs. Our specialists use individual programs and activities tailored to the child's interests and abilities, in order to achieve the set goals. The treatment is carried out through the methods of Montessori, Flortime method and psychomotor reeducation, stimulating the early development of children through play.

What did they include?

Defectological treatment is carried out through play. Individual preventive-corrective work involves carrying out activities in order to achieve the set goals. All activities provided for in the individual program for the child are adjusted according to the child's interests, abilities and possibilities, while applying a positive psychological approach. The treatment is based on the Montessori methods, the Flortime method as well as psychomotor reeducation (application of movements in play). The basis of any stimulating treatment is the stimulation of early development through play.

Treatments can be organized as:

– intensive treatments (4-5 times a week lasting 45-60 minutes) 

– semi-intensive (1-3 times a week for 45-60 minutes)

    SPEECH THERAPY
    TESTING AND DIAGNOSTICS

    Our speech therapists process and assess each case using the most modern tests and measurement instruments. Speech therapy diagnostics include assessment of communication skills, language and speech development, reading, writing and arithmetic skills, as well as phonological and articulation skills. 

    What did they include?

    In our center, speech therapy diagnostics are performed using modern tests and instruments, where the communication and language-speech skills of children are assessed, starting from the third year of life. The initial meeting includes deciding on the treatment methods together with the parents. Our speech therapy treatments are individual, last 30 minutes and are carried out 2-3 times a week. The most important thing in the treatment is active communication with the parents and their awareness of the child's difficulties, in order to match them with the child's abilities and possibilities. These treatments focus on early intervention, speech stimulation, coordinated speech-language development, communication disorders, language difficulties, as well as disorders in speech fluency, motor speech disorders and articulation disorders.

      WORKING WITH PARENTS

      At the Center, we place great emphasis on communication with parents, as they are a key part of the entire treatment process. We offer individual counseling with parents and help them align their wishes with the child's real abilities and possibilities.
